Tuesday, July 28 2009 V.S. Washington  Nationals

So Today we went early. We arrived at the confines at about 2:00 p.m. We wanted to try and get autographs but we were even late to get alot of the for a 7:00 p.m. start. The only guy I got was Frank Catalanatto but that’s cool.

We then went in at about 3:30 p.m. and kinda roamed the stadium trying to not get yelled at by the Event Staff. We did it successfully and watched Bill Hall, Mike Rivera, and Casey McGehee take a little bp before normal time. We then asked the host at Friday’s if we could just go stand out on the deck and watch the short bp. She said i’m not supposed to let you but…. I’m turning my head…GO! So we talked to Marcus and he shot me up BASEBALL #1. Alright sweet. Before normal bp even starts +1 baseball i guess. lol

Then there was one hit in the alley between the field and fridays walking to the bullpen. So a trainer came by and i asked him for the ball and he tossed me BASEBALL #2.

So then we watched the Brewers take and infield practice which I had never seen them take before. Picthers practicing covering 1st on bunts or little dribblers and the IF taking double play balls. Heh. Wierd. Bp started about 15 min late. So I ended up hoping the fence of Friday’s when Bill Hall blasted a bp hr ball and got it for BASEBALL#3.

Then Mike Cameron came out into the bullpen to stand in on some pitches while Braden Looper was pitching. I said Hows it goin mike? He said great man. I said you gonna hit some out during bp? He said prolly not I cant hit for power and laughed. I said you’ll hit one out. Sure enough I ended up getting one while hopping the fence again… BASEBALL #4. It has been 5 games since  I got more that 2 baseballs. I was excited sitting at 4 with Brewers bp coming to a close.

I went to RF for the Nats lefties to hit. They hit 2 up during thier session. WEAK SAUCE! I hollared at J.D. Martin and waved at him and he gave me the knucks. Then shot me up BASEBALL #5. They had those  practice baseballs. Kinda lame but it counts.

Then I went over the Left Field Bleachers and narrowed my way into the first row in the power alley. A ball was then hit short of the warning track where I stood hollaring at Nats pitcher Jason Bergmann. He then point up at me saying look a balls coming at you and I looked just in time before it would have pegged me in the shoulder and caught an Anderson Hernandez bp hr ball on a fly! Yeah BASEBALL #6!

Then randomly  Nats pitcher Ron Villone pointed at me and tossed me up BASEBALL #7. Nats bp had then concluded.

During the game is sat by the Nats bullpen. I noticed a beer had spilt and started dripping on the pitchers bag. I said something to Pitcher Mike MacDougal and he said thanks a few times. I then asked for an autograph after the game. He said yeah that’s great. So after the game he signed up 2 baseballs and tossed them to Matt and I for BASEBALL #8. It has been so long since I had reached 8. Only the 3rd time, I felt great.

8 baseballs, 7 thrown up, 1 on fly.

Monday, June 9 2009 V.S. Colorado Rockies

So this day started off as the usual… Fridays for a little snacky snack during BP. Suppan was throwing a mini session in the bullpen with Marcus. Ball was hit in there and after he was done throwing he tossed up BASEBALL #1.

Then none of all other Mike Cameron’s kid threw me up a baseball. I was shocked. It was pretty sweet though. BASEBALL #2.

Bill Hall was shaggin’ baseballs during bp in Left Center and tossed me up BASEBALL #3. He’s a cool guy I don’t get why people hate him.

Then I snagged a Ryan Braun Homerun ball on the fly for BASEBALL #4. I was estatic or however the hell you spell it.It was only my 4th one caught on a fly all year. my cousin Wiley lined up for the ball and misplayed it so it nicked off the top of his glove and my super catlike reflexes snagged it before it kissed the ground! Yeah!

Then as I was walking out of Friday’s I saw BASEBALL #5 plop into what we know as the point at Miller Park and I walked in to grab it.

Then fro my last baseball of the night Rockies Pitcher threw me BASEBALL #6 of the day. That then summed up my day.

Wednesday, April 15 V.S. Reds

So Friday’s above the bullpen is where I start out for BP Today. The first group hitting is JJ Hardy, Rickie Weeks, Prince Fielder, and Bill Hall. So I sit in my seat. Then Bam, JJ sends one sailing into the Midwest Airlines area. It goes under all the electrical equipment. I had to crawl under to get the ball. BASEBALL #1

Then next time JJ was up about 4 swings in he puts another one out over the Midwest area peak and into the alley way. I jumped the railing and ran for it. Picked it up, BASEBALL #2.

Then when Bill Hall came up he sent one sailing and I hoped the railing once again and had BASEBALL #3 in just the first group of hitters. My luck then ran out from the Brewers that day.

During reds BP I managed to get a ball thrown up for BASEBALL #4.

Monday, April 13, 2009 V.S. Reds

So we decided to go Friday’s for BP for my first time ever which is now a pre-game tradition. We sat on the underpart of it not by the bullpen. Billy Hall was taking bp. Then he pulled one down the LF line and then came over Todd Coffey. He grabed the ball when I said, Hey Todd, Can I get that ball? He fired it up right to me. BASEBALL #1.
Hall, 4.13.jpg
Then the second to last hitting group came up. After a few balls got thrown up to my buddies Mike Rivera hits one off the wall while I proceed to ask Coffey for a ball. What do you know?, BASEBALL #2.

So I had no more luck for the rest of the Brewers BP. I wasn’t complaining with 2 baseballs. I was a happy camper. Then it turned 5:30 so i went up to the LF bleachers. There the Reds proceeded to take BP. Balls were landing all over in the outfield. No one was asking for any balls, So I went and asked for one. Francisco Cordero then proceeded to throw me one up. YES, BASEBALL #3.

Then there is where I met the legend himslef. The “Happy Youngster” (http://thehappyyoungster.mlblogs.com). He began to give me tips. Then gave me his card and said check out my blog. He then inspired me to do this and want to get more into it. After Reds BP Marcus Hanel came into the dugout. There were a few baseballs scattered without. I remembered it was a Bill Hall Hr Ball during BP. Marcus hanel Chucked it up.BASEBALL #4.
